I didn't start in design. I started in architecture — drafting plans, studying structures, learning how spaces actually work from the inside out. After twenty years as a licensed architecture professional in Argentina, I landed in New Orleans in 2009 and fell completely in love with what this city does to a room. That collision — rigorous architectural thinking meets New Orleans soul — is exactly what Val Spaces is built on. And it's why our projects feel different.
Today, my work focuses on creating thoughtful, layered interiors that feel both intentional and personal. I’m particularly drawn to projects that involve multiple spaces or renovations, where a cohesive vision and clear direction make the greatest impact.
Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, I moved to New Orleans in 2009—a city that continues to influence my perspective on color, character, and design.
Outside of my work, I’m a mother to two children, Lucas and Penelope, and share my home with my husband, Joe, and our two dogs, Lolo and Luna. I’m naturally creative beyond design as well, often exploring new projects through crafting, painting, and cooking.
I believe there’s something powerful about walking into a space that feels fully considered—where every detail has been thoughtfully brought together.

Valentina brings a rare combination of architectural training and hands-on design instinct to every project. With over 15 years of experience in architecture and interior design, she trained and practiced as a licensed architect in Argentina before bringing that structural rigor — and a deeply expressive South American design sensibility — to New Orleans.
That background means Val Spaces operates differently from a traditional interior design firm. Valentina reads a space the way an architect does: understanding load-bearing walls, construction sequencing, and how light moves through a home across the day. She collaborates directly with builders and contractors from day one — which means fewer surprises, cleaner execution, and design decisions that are both beautiful and buildable.
Val Spaces is bilingual (English and Spanish) and serves clients across New Orleans, Metairie, and the greater Gulf South.
